Effortless Home Style
The other day, Pantone® announced the Color of the Year 2014: Radiant Orchid, a beautiful purple with rosy tones. It inspired me to want to bring orchid hues into my home, but I’m not quite ready to commit to a purple couch.
Instead, I chose to “candlescape” with our Violet Pure Radiance™ Crackling LumiWick™ Candles. I love the updated look of these new smooth-waxed candles. Their simply shaped glass has an on trend faux wood texture which naturally enhances the wide-wicked candlelight.
For my color accent, I grouped two of the medium vase candles with one tall, on a simple mirrored glass tray. Gray stones scattered around the candles complement my neutral-colored couch, which is now sporting a few accent pillows bringing in the same violet shade, one in solid, the others in mixed prints. It’s such a quick and easy way to express my creative decorating style.
A double bonus – 3 lit candles add to the candlelit ambience, and the great fragrance experience. I love the low commitment this involved, because I can change it up guilt-free when inspiration strikes again.
Other fashion-right scent/color cues for your home:
- Indigo Blue – our musky, distinctively fresh Deep Sea fragrance is a perfect scent and color to pair with today’s many denim & beach inspired accents.
- Red Berry – nothing beats high-intensity red for a strong pop of color. Fresh for 2014, our new Raspberry scent makes a bold statement. You’ll love the invigorating burst of tangy berry fragrance, and its rich currant color is especially effective in a color palette including creams, sage greens, and black or wood tones.
- Sand – our Sugared Vanilla fragrance is warm and golden, inviting you and your guests to settle into comfort. Its soothing, nature-inspired color adds to that appeal: classic tan can ground nearly any décor seafoam aqua. Or keep things tranquil in a neutral white, statement. Try it with rich cocoa brown and cream and tan theme.
